The quality of an
education system
cannot exceed the
quality of its
teachers.

About us

Through a two-year Wraparound Support Programme, JGF supports the professional development, expertise, and resilience of these teachers to retain them in the education system and their continued impact on schooling.
Vision
As expert teachers, educational leaders and social entrepreneurs, Jakes Gerwel Fellows are at the forefront of solving the most pressing educational challenges, and in so doing, improve schools in South Africa.
