Undergraduate Teaching Fellowship

The Undergraduate Teaching Fellowship (UTF) serves as a vehicle for nurturing future teachers through academic, psychosocial, and extra-curricular support. Students within the UTF program benefit from a wide array of developmental activities which seek to model them into high-impact expert teachers, educational leaders, and social entrepreneurs. UTF students find themselves in JGF Conversations around wicked problems in education, design thinking workshops, and are exposed to a network of global leaders in education. Through the UTF program, JGF is able to produce a pipeline of teachers and innovators who are committed to transforming schools and learning outcomes in South Africa.
